Ansel P. Clark

Every successful company has strong leadership, and Guardian Bank is no exception. A graduate of Valdosta High School and Valdosta State University, Ansel Clark began his banking career in 1973 with First National Bank in Valdosta. In 1982 he was made President of Commercial Bank in Waycross, Georgia, which was an affiliate of First National Bank. He occupied that post until 1989, serving as the City President after First Union's 1986 acquisition of Commercial Bank. Beginning in 1989, Clark served as First Union's City President in Macon, Georgia until becoming the President and CEO of Waycross Bank & Trust in 1990. He currently serves as the President of WB & T Bankshares, CEO of Waycross Bank & Trust, and CEO of Guardian Bank.
